Margo has worked as a financial planner since 1990, becoming a CFP in 1996. Prior to financial planning, Margo worked as a trust officer with a trust company, administering estates and trusts. She has been a member of the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver since 1993, a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and is mutual funds and insurance licensed.
Margo provides a “one stop shop” approach to wealth management, including comprehensive financial planning, and wealth management for families of business owners, incorporated professionals and retirees. She focusses on meeting her clients’ individual goals, saving them time, money (taxes and fees) and giving them the financial peace of mind they are looking for. She does this by minimizing their taxes, reducing their risks and ensuring their estate documents are current and in order as well as educating them throughout.
When working with clients who are planning for retirement or the sale of their business, Margo guides them through the process and timing. This includes setting up tax effective investment programs, reliable retirement income streams, debt elimination, regular insurance reviews and being responsive to new laws, trends and products that might affect them. This could also include working with the client’s other professionals to get the best results.
In addition, Margo is well versed in charitable giving strategies and family communication about money, to assist clients in these areas too.
